Encrypted file processing on a laptop with secure storage — Itqan security

How we approach security

At Itqan, from Amman in Jordan, we protect data across 70+ tools: encrypted connections, temporary processing, and automatic deletion of temporary copies — consistent with the Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and Terms of Use.

Security standards

We draw on recognised information-security principles, including ISO/IEC 27001 as an internal reference. We do not claim a current certified status.

Data protection

Encryption & safeguards

TLS encryption (data in transit)

Data in transit is protected with modern SSL/TLS.

Temporary processing, not a lasting archive

Your files are processed temporarily then deleted; they are not a permanent archive of their contents. Any infrastructure backup is for running the platform, not a personal library of your uploads.

Key management

Encryption keys are handled with strict confidentiality.

Automatic deletion after processing

Temporary copies are deleted automatically after processing under the Privacy Policy; keep your original copy.

Privacy approach

AI-assisted processing

Tools such as PDF summarize/translate, headlines, logos, math explanations, OCR, and background removal may send only the data needed for your request to Itqan servers and, when configured, to model providers (for example Hugging Face or a local Ollama instance). Payloads are temporary; we do not use uploads to train advertising models. Always review AI outputs before relying on them.

Legal framework & compliance

ISO/IEC 27001 (reference)

We use this framework as internal practice. We do not claim a current certified status

User rights

In practice we offer access, correction, deletion, and cookie consent. The GDPR is not our primary operating law; if a mandatory rule applies to you, those statutory rights remain — as in the terms and the Privacy Policy

Jordanian law

We process data under Jordanian law, including Personal Data Protection Law No. 24 of 2023 where it applies, from Amman — as in the terms

Terms and courts

The service is governed by the Terms of Use and the laws of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, with disputes before the competent courts in Jordan, while mandatory rights elsewhere remain
