What does this PDF repair tool do?

It tries to rebuild a PDF that will not open or throws read errors (broken structure or an incomplete close) and gives you a copy a normal reader can open. Success is not guaranteed for every kind of damage, especially a truncated download.

Upload, run repair, then test the result in a reader. If it fails, re-download the source or ask the sender for a new file. This does not bring back pages that were deliberately deleted from a healthy file.

Repair is not compression and not OCR. Files are deleted after the attempt. If the file is sensitive, confirm your rules allow an upload.

When do you need PDF repair?
