What does this PDF password tool do?

It encrypts a PDF with a password you set so it will not open without it. Use it when a statement or contract is going by email and you do not want a forwarded attachment to open for anyone.

After upload, enter and confirm the password. Pick a phrase you do not reuse on other accounts and store it somewhere you will find—if you forget it, this tool cannot recover the content.

Encryption is not a watermark. To remove a password you already know, use the unprotect tool. Files are deleted after encryption. Do not send the password in the same message as the file.
